Markers can be very misleading and students focus them instaed of understanding the tense. Some merkers can used with different tenses depending upon th emenaing or reference:

Always:

1. With present simple (habitaul actions)

2. Always with present continuous (annoyance or disapproval of a habit)

3. Present perfect simple (a habit which has been  practised till the present)

4. Past simple (habitual actions in the past)
