The Son and the Man
She was sitting with her legs stretched straight on the floor of her sitting room holding her little son with her two snow white hands while tears were running down her rosy cheeks saying: Don’t worry this time I will get married. You will have a father soon. She was dressed completely in white with a white hair ribbon on her dark blond hair.

She couldn’t be more seraphic and this made him think of Maria and Jesus. But then hurried inside and cried: Have you gone mad? Why are you telling your little son such nonsense? But she continued singing the same lines until he gave in and joined her.

He went back to his room whispering: No, I can’t marry her she has a son and I can’t be a father to a son I have no part in. Biology is important. He thought how male lions kill babies not from them. Maybe it is a cultural problem. No, he thought: People are all the same by natural instinct. They say it doesn’t matter if you are not the genitor but their deeds speak a different language. Don’t believe what is written or said. Watch!

In the evening and without any further moment of hesitation he went to her little son’s room. She was singing while putting him to bed. He then surprised her: let’s get married. She looked at him suspiciously and tears came running down her cheeks again as if saying: Don’t kill my baby.
